THE ARTIMUS PYLE BAND: A TRIBUTE TO RONNIE VAN ZANT'S LYNYRD SKYNYRD

Let it be known that this is no farewell tour for legendary former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle.  Truly a survivor, Artimus is still going strong 40+ years after the tragic plane crash that claimed members Ronnie Van Zant and Steve Gaines (along with four others).  And today - just like it's always been - it's all about the music.

More than just a "tribute" to Lynyrd Skynyrd, it's a huge "thank you" to the man that defined it.  Artimus Pyle has said " If it wasn't for Ronnie, no one would know my name."

Since his departure from Skynyrd in 1991, Artimus Pyle's career has led him down an amazing path of solo records and projects culminating into one the finest tributes to southern rock royalty.

The Artimus Pyle Band is a high energy, true to the music, and true to the era rock group.  One of the few that is on the road today.  Artimus Pyle, Brad Durden, Jerry Lyda, Tony Black, and Scott Raines are not only a group of friends and contemporaries but a group with some of the most seasoned musician in the southeast.

When he put together "The Artimus Pyle Band", Artimus wanted the band to be a proper representation of the true Skynyrd spirit, one that would do justice to those incredible songs that Ronnie Van Zant wrote and sang with such conviction.

So come and enjoy all the hits including Tuesday's Gone, Sweet Home Alabama, Gimme Three Steps, Travelin' Man, That Smell, Simple Man, Free Bird, Don't Ask Me No Questions, I Know A Little, Whiskey Rock-A-Roller, and much more!

It’s going to be an awesome weekend.  We hope you’ll join us.

OTHER IMPORTANT RV STUFF

An RV is any vehicle equal to or larger than a 15-passenger van.  All oversized vehicles, trailers, campers that are towed, and buses are considered RV’s.  These vehicles, if staying with us the entire weekend, need an RV Pass.

RV spots are 20′ X 40′.

20, 30 and 50-amp electrical service is available in Campgrounds East.  However, the number of 50-amp hookups is limited, so please order early.  Campgrounds West only has 20-amp electrical service.

All RV’s have access to a water spigot (gravity feed) and to the waste water dump site on the festival grounds (you empty your own waste tank). If you desire, you can make arrangements with our portable toilet company to have them pump out your waste water tank on Sunday morning, June 24.  The contact information for this service will be given to you on site at check-in.

Looking to park your RV next to your friends?  We’ll make every effort to accommodate you; there’s a place to indicate your preference when you’re buying your RV Pass.
